Kingston, Jamaica. April 2, 2024: Jamaica's dominance in athletics continues to shine brightly as the nation secured an outstanding victory at the 51st staging of the 2024 Carifta Games. 

OppositionSpokesman on Sports, Wavell Hinds, has extended “heartfelt congratulations to the Jamaican athletes for their exceptional performance at the prestigious event.”

Reflecting on Jamaica's phenomenal achievement, Hinds said "For the 38th consecutive staging and an astounding 45th time overall, Jamaica has once again triumphed by clinching the top spot on the medals table.

The Kirani James Stadium in St George’s, Grenada, witnessed a remarkable display of talent and determination from Jamaica's young athletes, who collectively amassed an impressive haul of 83 medals."

"In an era where competition is fierce and standards are exceptionally high, Jamaica's achievement stands as a testament to the unwavering dedication and unparalleled skill of our athletes," Hinds continued.

"The commitment to excellence exhibited by our young talents not only secures victories but also inspires generations to come, reinforcing Jamaica's status as a powerhouse in the world of athletics."

Expressing gratitude to the athletes, coaches, and support staff, Hinds stated, "I extend my sincere appreciation to the athletes, coaches, and support staff whose tireless efforts and sacrifices have paved the way for this remarkable success.
