JAMAICA | MoBay Chamber to Honour Business and Civic Leaders
MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica, November 24, 2022 – The ‘doyenne of Jamaica’s Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry’, Gloria Henry heads an impressive constellation of business and civic leaders who will be recognized by the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry for outstanding service in their various endeavours.
Henry, who is Immediate Past President of the Global Services Association of Jamaica and Vice President of BPO and Logistics at the Port Authority of Jamaica will be inducted into the Chamber of Commerce’s Wall of Fame on Saturday, December 3 at the organization’s Annual Awards Banquet at the Montego Bay Convention Centre.
The reigning internationally-recognized Nearshore Executive of the Year will be honoured alongside Chairman of Summerfest Productions, promoter of Reggae Sumfest, Josef Bogdanovich, who is being presented with the President’s Award for his contribution to the development of Montego Bay through entertainment and entrepreneurship.
The business umbrella organization will also be recognizing corporate entities in various categories, including Lifetime Achievement and Young Entrepreneur. Special Recognition will also be made of the late Jasmine Tomlinson Brown, who served the Chamber of Commerce diligently after her retirement from the Jamaica Constabulary Force, before her passing in August this year.
The highly-anticipated black and gold affair; an ode to Jamaica Jubilee, is being staged after a two-year hiatus, due to the pandemic, and promises to be a night of glitz and entertainment, with an address by Audrey Tugwell Henry, President and CEO of Scotia Group Jamaica and a performance by reggae hitmaker, Christopher Martin.
President of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Oral Heaven said the organization is buoyed by the continued support of its stakeholders and considers it a honour to the able to recognize them for their business acumen and contribution to the community.

The Chamber President said this year’s awardees prove that through ongoing challenges, the creativity and resilience of small business owners and entrepreneurs is stronger than ever, leading the Chamber to be even more committed to supporting them and their ability to grow, innovate and drive our economy.
