PORT-AU-PRINCE April 28 (Prensa Latina) The Haitian Presidential Transition Council (CPT) on Saturday postponed the election of its soon-to-be president, a decision for which both the reason and exact date of the election are unknown so far.

On Thursday, CPT´s members took the oath at the National Palace, from where the route will be drawn to politically reorganize the Caribbean country.

Before a limited audience, Smith Augustine; Louis Gerald Gilles; Fritz, Alphonse Jean; Edgard Leblanc Jr.; Laurent Saint-Cyr; Emmanuel Vertilaire, Leslie Voltaire, Régine Abraham and Frinel Joseph sealed their commitment to the nation.

At the same time, former Prime Minister Ariel Henry officially resigned and appointed Michel Patrick Boisvert as interim Prime Minister by decree pending a new government, the newspaper Le Nouvelliste reported.

Once in office, CPT will be in charge of appointing a new Prime Minister and create a government, formulate additional needs for ordinary national security forces to address the international community and to establish a National Security Council.
