JAMAICA | B'dos PM Mia Mottley congratulates Jamaica's New JDF Chief of Defence Staff

JAMAICA, January 25, 2022 -  Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has extended Congratulations to the new Chief of Defence Staff of the Jamaica Deforce Rear Admiral Antonette Wemyss Gorman on her appointment to the post.

In a video message, PM Mottley said the Rear Adfmiral has created history as being among the few women ever to lead an army anywhere in the world. You are a woman who is making waves, not just in your native land, but across the Caribbean Sea. Time after time, you have shattered that glass ceiling, and you are a most fitting example for the young women of our Region," she said.
